Ana Sousa from ACE (Alliance for Creativity Entertainment ) and Pamela Hernandez from MINIÑO were the panelists in the session “Combating digital piracy – Successful Cases and Operation 404” where they analyzed strategies to combat digital piracy of content, legal tools, advantages and weaknesses of the Dominican legal system and shared experiences of successful operations in Dominican Republic and at a regional level.
The seminar panelists were experts in anti-piracy industry at the regional level, content owners, local business associations, judge specialized in IP, and representatives of administrative and judicial bodies such as ONDA, INDOTEL, Public Prosecutor, and police investigation agency DICAT.
