We are proud to share one of our recent Pro Bono cases, where we had the privilege of assisting SATORI, a pioneering ghost kitchen in Constanza, Dominican Republic.
Founded by sisters Sarel Rivas and María Teresa, SATORI emerged during the pandemic as a bold initiative to bring high-quality international cuisine—especially sushi 🍣—to a remote region, blending Japanese flavors with Dominican influences. More than just a restaurant, SATORI represents resilience, innovation, and economic empowerment in an area with limited access to global culinary experiences.
As part of our commitment to supporting small businesses and fostering local economic growth, our team navigated a challenging trademark registration process, overcoming multiple examiner objections to successfully secure SATORI’s brand protection. This milestone ensures that their vision remains safeguarded as they expand, innovate, and continue redefining the local food scene.
