Our partner Urko Ochoa enjoyed a refreshing update of IP trends at the EUIPO IP Case Law Conference held in Alicante. Staying closely connected to these developments allows MINIÑO to continue bringing an international perspective to the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean, making a difference in the region.
This year’s discussions focused on the most recent case law from the Boards of Appeal and the General Court, embracing all aspects of design law, proof of use, threshold for admission of appeals, enforcement matters, conflicts with other rights, the evolving role of AI and a comparison of the treatment of well-known marks in other main jurisdictions.
Remaining closely connected to these developments strengthens the strategic and internationally informed approach MINIÑO brings to complex IP matters across the Caribbean and Latin America.
