Norman Herrero


Norman Herrero re-joined the firm in 2016 as an Associate in the Intellectual Property practice. He had previously worked at the firm as a student trainee until 2011, when he moved to Spain to obtain his LLM and went on to work in-house at a media company where he gained significant experience in the media and entertainment industry.

He is currently responsible of the firm’s patent practice and oversees all prosecution matters as they relate to patents, utility models and industrial designs. He is also frequently involved in trademark and patent enforcement procedures before administrative bodies. His experience involves advising and assisting clients in relation to office actions, oppositions and cancelation actions.

As primary focus of his practice he handles patent portfolios for a number of international pharmaceutical companies, who rely on his experience to overcome office actions and to move proceedings forward.

He is also involved in trademark clearance and due diligence projects, as well as in relation to the negotiation and preparation of agreements for the commercialization of IP rights.

Moreover, his practice involves all aspects related to Entertainment law such as copyright clearance and the application of its tax incentives. He is also frequently engaged in advertisement, consumer law and data protection advices.
